My Knees Hurt
Yeah. So I wiped out. Big time. In the parking lot. I only hope that no one happened to be filming from the balcony of their condo as I was walking to my car because it is very likely on youtube right now. You should be searching for "redhead girl nosedives into the pavement" because that’s what happened to me this evening. Rather than driving to work to entertain 30-40 guests at a cocktail reception I was picking myself off the pavement after falling face first into the concrete. Not very ladylike. My knees and right hand look like the skinned up and banged up remnants of a 10 year child. Why, oh why, must I work on evenings such as these… I hobbled into work and forced a smile on my face as I listened to the magic of Smokey Robinson. If only the tracks of his tears could heal the pain of my knees.
