Do-gooders are taking over the world through your cell phone. Too bad Doctor Horrible didn’t think of this awesome weapon before Pollyanna corrupted it for all that is positive and good in the world. This would have definitely gained him entry into the Evil League of Evil.
The cell phone, once a beacon for text messaging inane messages to your friends, has become a source of empowerment for communities thus creating a new era of citizen journalists. Organizations are using cell phones to swing elections through "get out the vote" activities, send health alerts to far flung populations, document political abuses, and lobby for environmental law.
One can only wonder if text message shorthand is circling the drain or if the media will learn to adapt in order to learn late-breaking news. JM02.
